San Diego’s Old Town State Park has been a favourite of both locals and tourists alike for decades, as it offers not only a glimpse into the vibrant past of the city but also houses a wide range of specialty shops that provide an array of merchandise from around the globe, with a heavy focus on Mexican products. It is the most convenient place for shoppers to find everything from hand-painted clay pots, fine cigars, and fine Indian jewellery to western wear and sombreros with wide brims.

Bazaar del Mundo has nine shops, all of which feature products from the South of the Border. These shops are located within the large complex of the Bazaar del Mundo. An eclectic mix of merchandise from around the world can be found in the Old Town Market, which consists of about forty shops.

Since Old Town is the birthplace of California, it is usually included in tourists’ itineraries when visiting the area. As most of the items are souvenir-like, you won’t be able to find any new outfits here because most of the items are souvenirs.

Horton Plaza’s colourful and whimsical architecture makes it the ideal shopping centre in the region that differentiates it from any other mall. Since its construction in the 1980s, the complex has become somewhat of an icon for San Diego and even has its own Wikipedia page. San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter was credited with kickstarting the area’s revival, and it continues to be a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. Among the numerous stores, restaurants, and eateries one will find within the confines of the centre, you will also be able to find top retailers, making it a popular lunchtime stop for downtown workers.

A movie complex and a theatre called The Lyceum Theatre are among its amenities. The mall’s fate has been unclear since it was recently sold, but it remains the best downtown for now.

Downtown shoppers will find this to be the best shopping option. There is a Nordstrom store at the centre of the outdoor mall. You’ll need to validate your ticket at a machine inside the mall if you’re parking in the structure.
